What are you most passionate about professionally? What most excites you about your work and the contribution you can make?

Putting spaces together, and making order out of chaos, and then making that order into a moving and inspiring space. I find satisfaction in making things better for my clients.

What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can't you stop talking about?

I love making all kinds of things - furniture, quilts, jewelry, dinner - it doesn't matter as long as I'm creating.

What was your first job?

Sanding balusters for Victorian house my dad was building. I believe I made $1 an hour.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

An astrophysicist.

The activity I've never done but want to is:

Take voice lessons. I love to sing, but I have yet to find anyone who wants to listen!

What is your most unusual possession?

I have many odd things. I keep them all in my house which is an old fire station. (Pole included.)

What is the best dish you can cook?

Dessert - all of it! Pies, cakes, cookies, candies - if there is sugar in it, I can probably make a good one.
