Kirtland Air Force Base Battlespace Environment Laboratory

Through a Design Charrette, Cromwell designed the new, 145,000 SF, multi-level Space Vehicles Battlespace Environment Lab for the AFRL Battlespace Environment Division (VSB) which includes class 100 clean rooms, 700 SF SCIF, two computer rooms with raised floors, labs with multiple air and gas supplies, administrative/office space, and all utilities and site work. The 88,000 SF high technology medium and light labs includes science and technology to develop testing in high vacuum environments, environmental/calibration, chemistry and spectrometry, computer modeling, processing of space data, space operations, remote sensing, and quantum computing. Due to funding cuts this project was not constructed. This project was designed with partner Garver Engineers.
