Michael holds both a Bachelors and Masters degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He previously served four years in the Army Corps of Engineers as an engineer officer. Since 1997, he has served in the Army Reserves, including deployments to Iraq and Kuwait, and has achieved the rank of Colonel. Most recently, Michael was assigned as the Army Reserve Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer to the state of Arkansas. Working closely with the Arkansas National Guard, Arkansas Department of Emergency Management, and FEMA. Michael is president of the Structural Engineers Association of Arkansas (SEAoAR), a member and past-president of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME),  and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

What is your most unusual possession?

I have a piece of the Pentagon that was damaged on 9/11.

Always do your best and treat others the way you want to be treated.
