What's one problem you're best at solving for your clients?

There is no design work more complicated than renovations. At times it can be very messy and there are always unknowns. Effectively working through those challenges is what makes me an asset on any job.

What can you not stop talking about?

My wife Leigh-Alyson, and children Maddie and Connor, keep me going. A strong home team makes anything possible.

What is your favorite quote?

“Don’t ever mistake my silence for ignorance, my calmness for acceptance or my kindness for weakness.” -Unknown

What was your first job?

For $5/hour I used to cut my elderly neighbors grass. The worst part about it was all the lawn gnomes and yard “art” that had to be moved and put back in their exact spots.

What was the last thing you wasted your money on?

Fried Oreos at Dickey-Stephens Park. They taste awesome but go straight to my hips.

What's something you've never done but want to?

My bucket list is long and likely unattainable but near the top of that list is probably Skydiving. Not that sissy diving with an instructor strapped to your back, but a real solo dive.

What is your favorite local place to take visiting friends or relatives?

Buffalo Grill on Rebsamen. You can’t beat the laid back atmosphere and there is always a table waiting on us.

What is your most unusual possession?

I have a Harry Potter wand (Lord Voldemort’s) that was a gift from my son. It resides in his room next to his Elder wand.

What would the title of your autobiography be?

Damn Yankee, Why Northerners move South.
