Deener Elementary School was originally constructed in the 1960s. Over the years the district has done a good job of keeping the facility up to date. Cromwell has assisted in the most recent improvements in the last ten years including a pair of new Special Education Classrooms and upgrades to the Kitchen.
The current project is an addition that will provide much needed administrative space. It will include a new front office as well as offices for the principal, assistant principal and school nurse. The project will also provide additional conference space, storage and staff toilets. The existing administrative space in the school will be renovated for counselor’s offices and teacher work space.
Because the addition is located at the front of the school, the project has a strong focus on security and access control for the school, and includes electronically controlled entry doors and new security cameras.
