The Faulkner Performing Arts Center involves a complete renovation of the existing Center for Space and Planetary Sciences building. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992 the building was originally constructed in 1937 as a gymnasium and it has served many purposes throughout its 75+ year lifespan. This renovation will convert the building into a world class music performance center. Designed for superior acoustic performance the concert hall will serve daily as a fully functioning classroom for music students. It will also serve as a public venue for university recruiting events and music performances. Commissioned systems include: HVAC, Energy Management, Domestic Water Heating, Domestic Water Distribution Equipment, Plumbing Fixtures and Piping Systems, Electrical Distribution, Lighting Control, and Interior Lighting systems.
