Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine

Arkansas currently ranks 48th in physician accessibility in the United States with the western side of the state, including the Fort Smith region, being identified as the most under-served area in Arkansas. The development of the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine facility, located at Chaffee Crossing, provides a much needed opportunity to increase availability of care within this area. The College will train both doctors of osteopathy and physicians’ assistants. Currently under construction with scheduled completion in early summer 2016, the first class will begin in the fall of 2016.

The new three-story, 102,000 SF, building will contain administrative space, two lecture halls (200 seats each), classrooms, student lounge (including lockers, café, gaming area), library, anatomy lab & support area, OMM lab (42 tables), modeling lab, trial clinic, simulation labs, and additional shell space for a future research area (5,000 SF).
