Cromwell has been assisting the city of Eureka Springs to repurpose their former High School into a mixed use recreation, office and retail center at the entrance of the city on Highway 62. The existing original Maximlite structure will be modified into an outdoor community gathering space for farmer's markets, performances and community gatherings. The classroom wing will be repurposed into office space, retail and community arts classes. The gym will remain a gym, but will be improved to hold more flexible community events, including conventions, athletic events and concerts. The parking lot and landscaping will be improved to add a playground and future community swimming pool. All improvements will be made with community involvement and be within the context of the Eureka Springs Historic District.
