The Tenenbaum Center includes a 10,000 SF addition to the 35 year old Temple B'nai Israel and the remodeling and renovation of the existing Temple building. This renovation increases the existing Community Room by 75% and provides a glass folding door, which features a large Star of David engraved into patterned glass. The rooms can function as one large room or two smaller rooms for multipurpose social and religious occasions. Included in the project are new toilets, an archival room and a new teen center, with its own kitchenette, and outdoor terrace. The existing kitchen was remodeled and 2 elevators were installed to provide for handicapped access. The project is the recipient of an ASID Silver Award for Interior Design.
