This 3-story 45,000 SF office building houses the Arkansas Teacher Retirement System and has a 15,000 SF parking deck below the building and additional surface parking. The Arkansas Teacher Retirement System occupies the 2nd and 3rd floors and the first floor is leased to another state agency. The building contains private offices, open office workstations, boardroom, and conference rooms. An open stair between the 2nd and 3rd floor provides convenient communications among departments. The design is planned to complement the State Capitol area by the use of scale reduction elements, and the use of landscaping and terrain to conceal parking areas. The exterior surfaces are brick, tinted glass, and a standing seam gray colored metal sloping roof.
Interior design services included specification of office furnishings and systems furnishings. The modular workstations were designed for an efficient use of space yet provides access to natural light and provides their users with a sense of ownership and individuality.
