A major Arkansas -Based trucking company sought a corporate headuaters that would reflect its image of an industry leader. Cromwell completed a mastr plan that included phased development for the 110 acre site. The first phase of a 150,000 SF office building for 705 employees was completed in fifteen months. The project contains executive suites, open office areas, 500 prewired workstations, auditoriums, conference center, teleconferencing studio, training facilities, computer center, UPS, telephone switching station, fiber optic backbone for data systems communications, intrusion detection system, kitchen facilities and employee lounge. Energy efficency of the budiling is enhanced by orientation and maximizing the opportunity for daylighting into open office areas.
A special feature of the building is a production studio with the capability to produce both live satellite uplinks and tape production of corporate communication to employees and operation centers throughout the United States. The center contains a control room, studio, specialized HVAC and electrical systems and associated television electronics.
