Val Verde County Jail Facility

This 650 bed design-build privatized prison was designed to house Federal Marshal Service prisoners and to be fully compliant with all requirements of the Texas Commission on Jail Standards. The 146,488 SF structure is located within Val Verde County, Texas, adjacent to the existing Vale Verde County Jail facility. The building is designed to accommodate a very long and narrow site that slopes approximately 20 feet across the length of the facility. The building's finished floor is stepped in two locations allowing it to closely follow the natural site grading and allows for minimal site excavation or fill.
