This 422,000 SF facility is designed for a rated capacity of 1,536 inmates housed in double occupancy, low partitioned sleeping cubicles distributed throughout three open dormitories. Each of the two story units houses 512 inmates in four separate wings. A combined facilities complex houses areas for family visitation, vocational training, counseling, commissary, inmate dining facilities, and a medical/dental suite, as well as administrative offices and a disciplinary segregation facility with 72 single inmate cells. The UNICOR Manufacturing Facility connected to the Combined Facilities Complex employs inmates to manufacture products, which are sold to other federal government agencies. The Central Shared Facilities include a warehouse for UNICOR products, a general facility warehouse, central utilities for chilled water, emergency power and power distribution, and maintenance facilities for institutional vehicles and landscaping. An Administration Building, with a separate entry, houses administrative offices, central security control and equipment, an armory, a secure sallyport and checkpoints for everyone entering and leaving the facility.
