The heating and air conditioning systems (HVAC) are the most important systems of a building in relation to the user's comfort. Other mechanical systems play a major role in building function and life safety. The mechanical engineering staff at Cromwell is highly skilled and experienced in innovative design of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, process piping and ventilation, boiler plants, energy management systems and product refrigeration. HVAC systems designed by the firm cover a wide range of types and equipment. Systems are selected and designed to be compatible with the building size, type and budget. Direct digital control systems that are fully integrated into the Energy Management Control Systems have been utilized as well as designs for solar photovoltaic, water source solar, and ground heating systems.
