This client was in need of a Disaster Relief Center to accommodate the needs of a major client. Renovation of this 41,000 s.f. building included mostly the demolition of walls to open the spaces to accommodate system workstations. The interior finishes were freshened with the use of carpet tiles and paint with some refurbishing of as much of the existing millwork as possible. Careful furniture planning was implemented to maximize the call center open office for future growth. Workstations were oriented to give the occupants the advantage of views through the exterior windows that encompass the building. Key to this planning exercise were the locations of workstations for supervisors and managers to monitor the open office area effectively.
