Dunn Dental Clinic

This project is the restoration of the two story, 50,681 sf Dunn Dental Clinic, Building 6418, located at Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), Texas. The scope includes exterior repairs and partial interior demolition, construction and remodel of existing interior space for permanent occupancy for the following dental services: Diagnostic, Endodontics, Oral/Maxillofacial, Peredontics, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, General Dentistry, Resident Orthodontics, and Family Practice along with the Logistics, DIPC, Dental Radiology and Dental Laboratory. The above services are located on two floors. Each floor is comprised of four quadrants (suites) each accommodating 10 dental treatment rooms (DTR). Service areas such as the Laboratory, Logistics, DIPC, Radiology, etc are located in the central areas between the suites. The facility was built in 1980 and has undergone very minor updates since this time. The project is to include not only the demolition and remodeled areas indicated on the drawings but a complete upgrade of all interior finishes for each floor, including the Lobby areas. Also included are mechanical, electrical and plumbing modifications based on interior restoration in all 8 quadrants, including laboratory, Logistics, Dental Instrumentation Processing Center (DIPC) and Radiology.
