Ethan Robison

What are you most passionate about professionally?

I really enjoy working on the graphic representation of a design: how we present our work can show the potential of a project and the impact it can have in a way that is easy to understand.

Between being invisible or being able to fly, which would you choose and why?

Fly, obviously. I love heights and adventuring into the unknown and flight sounds like absolute freedom.

What is your favorite quote?

"When I’m working on a problem, I never think about beauty. But when I’ve finished, if the solution is not beautiful I know it’s wrong." – Buckminster Fuller

What was the last picture you took with your phone?

It is of the Buffalo River taken from my kayak. I really enjoy being outside and active, so most of my photos are of nature from my latest hiking, climbing, biking, or floating excursion.

What was the last thing you binge watched?

I am currently binging Chuck, a little silly but very funny. Before that, it was Westworld.

Very few people know that I…

…cut my own hair. I started my sophomore year of college, because I had no time to go get one professionally. Now I am just so used to doing it myself, I don’t want anyone else.

What was your first job?

I mixed paint and set up canvases for painting parties.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I have loved to draw since a young age and always wanted to be an artist, but my mother said I would have to pay for my own education if I wanted to become a "starving artist." I am so glad she did that because I never would have discovered architecture otherwise.

What is your weirdest quirk?

I talk to myself sometimes, like a legit crazy person. I’m planning on getting a dog.

What would the title of your autobiography be?

"The Dramatic Telling of Ordinary Events with Jazz Hands!"
