The general scope of the project consisted of the design of single-story additions to the existing Gym and Dining Hall. The scope also included a two-story office space infill as well as the renovation of the existing SCIF. The $14.9M project will provide additional space in accordance with the Unit Comprehensive Master Plan, for a unit assigned to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command. Special construction includes sustainable construction features complying with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design "Silver." Included are improvements addressing utilities, generator and switchgear upgrades, mechanical, force protection, intrusion detection system, fire detection/protection systems, communications, energy management control, arms, vaults, latrines, showers, team rooms, offices, storage, a dining facility seating area, physical therapy, strength training area, and erosion control measures.
