Cromwell assisted the 81st Regional Command with a number of Lifecycle Reset projects over the past few years. When the Puerto Nuevo site was analyzed, it was determined that the Automatic Transfer Switch, or ATS, for the generator was much older than the typical lifespan of a generator. Cromwell was tasked with the design for the replacement of the equipment and associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing redesigns that would accompany the change. User requirements, cost, harsh weather conditions, and poor quality were all determining factors in the type of replacement that was selected. We provided an assessment report of the existing equipment as well as full design documents for the replacement.
