Raduno is a 3,000 SF restaurant designed by Architect Christopher East and Interior Designer Shelby Cotton. The restaurant is designed with a contemporary casual interior and features Neapolitan pizza, 19 beers, and 4 wines on tap.
The project is located in an existing building in the South Main (SOMA) neighborhood, which is creating a strong arts and culture district for Little Rock. The renovation included removing a former nightclub, and replacing it with a full service kitchen, dining room and bar. All the while the rest of the building remained in use as professional office space.
The contemporary casual design takes advantage of the original features of the building, such as the pressed tin ceilings and original distressed wood flooring. We then carefully incorporated the new, including includes a long marble bar and bench table seating that allows the space to feel intimate, but not cramped. The dimmable lighting and carefully integrated sound system give the space an ambiance that is well suited for casual business lunches or formal dining.
Raduno is a great example of how old buildings can find new life with some imagination and respect for old buildings.
