In this design-build project, the team of Yates (contractor) and Cromwell (A/E) brought together complex information from the Request for Proposal, the using agencies, tenants, the building contractor, and the Corps of Engineers to design a durable and attractive facility that reflects the pride of its Army Reserve and National Guard using agencies. The project required technical competence in the design of specialized functional areas such as Weapons Simulator, Controlled Waste Storage, Flammable Storage, Battery Charging and Storage rooms, SIPRNet rooms and Arms Vaults. Project is certifiable LEED Silver. The $22.5 million dollar facility, located at 6109 C.W. Post Road, houses both the Arkansas National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve units. The 107,000 SF center boasts a 5,800 SF drill hall, kitchen facility, multi-use classroom space, physical fitness area and an electronic weapons training room.
