Extensive Retro-Commissioning services for both the Main Hospital and the adjacent Medical Office Building. Using the ASHE guidelines and the NEBB procedural standards conducted a thorough survey of the facilities, including data logging of critical areas, extensive interviews with operation staff, detailed analysis of existing facility use versus original design intent. This resulted in a systematic approach to improve facility operation. First measure was extensive and advanced training for the entire maintenance staff. Training included fundamentals, typical applications through very specific system operations. Training also included the basis of energy conservation and how to identify and quantify opportunities. Subsequent measures included implementing new controls programming to reduce system operational periods, overall reduce airflow, increase temperature deadbands and reschedule maximum and minimum airflows. To-date, energy has been reduced by approximately 10%.
